On 12 September 2013 in Dublin Castle, Jimmy Deenihan TD, Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht hosted a one-day seminar on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List. The seminar involved representatives from local authorities and community groups and included various presentations from an international panel of experts who outlined the  procedures involved in progressing a site from the Tentative List to nomination for World Heritage Status.
